Sneak Peak Into The Makings of My Online Course

Annie Lennox Age 60
This  year I am working on the  launch of my  online course for women interested in  how they can approach aging in a natural and  holistic way.  It feels like a big undertaking to create such a course, but I am using my favourite quote for inspiration:

“Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!”
― Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

I just finished writing about how typical anti aging products and treatments actually stress our bodies and our skin. I thought I would it  share with you.

Products described as “anti-aging” typically contain high concentrations of active ingredients which attempt to externally supply more and more substances that are lacking in the skin or alter naturally occurring reactions.  These active ingredients, as well as surgery, chemical peels and Botox, take an isolated approach to individual symptoms.  They leave our bodies trying to deal with  the consequences of the quick fix, resulting in energy being used to try and find balance again, rather than in the all important daily skin processes. As a consequence of our skin fighting to find balance, it starts to look tired and so we reach for the external source to help, which in turn leads to dependency.

However, there is an alternative to this downward spiral. The skin is made, in part, of different life processes. As we age these processes start to slow down; blood circulation isn’t as strong so fewer nutrients and less oxygen are delivered to the skin; less oil is produced and the skin’s ability to hold onto water decreases along with collagen, elastin and cellular renewal. What we need to do is to encourage these life processes to function as well as they can, which helps you look good for your years, from the inside out and not just on the surface.

I will keep you post on when my course is up and running and ready to launch.
