Sea Buckthorn an Oil Every One Will Love

Have you been noticing Sea Buckthorn Oil popping up on the shelves of your favorite natural food stores?  There is  a resurgence of plant and seed oils being used on the face and body for good  reason.  Did you know our skin absorbs nutrients more quickly then if we digest the same substance?  We really can fed the skin!  Sea Buckthorn Oil is a wonder oil and I encourage you to begin incorporating it into you skin health routine.  In the Dr Hauschka skincare line Sea Buckthorn can be found in the Regenerating Eye Cream and the Daily Hydrating Eye Cream.

Sea buckthorn gets to the root cause of imbalances in the skin by going deep within the lipid layers and healing from the inside out. Seabuckthorn, Hippophae rhamnoides, is extraordinarily rich and vital oil that is perfectly balanced in omega 3, 6, 7 and 9 oils. The oil is also potent in antioxidants, has anti-inflammatory properties, carotenoids like beta carotene, and phytosterols that reduce redness and help heal mucous membranes. it regenerates cells, protects against cell water loss and is rich in vitamins C, E, and pro-vitamins A and B. Seabuckthorn oil is also rich in lipids, beneficial fatty acids and rare palmitoleic acids. All of these extraordinary plant properties contribute to regenerate and revitalize connective tissue.
Its combination of vitamin E and provitamin A binds free radicals and protects the skin from sun, dry air and wind. The oil supports regeneration of the skin and is thus said to counteract skin aging. Rough, dry skin becomes supple again.

The other constituents of sea buckthorn also appear to be present in particularly large amounts. The vitamin C content, for example, is nine time that of citrus fruits.

Sea buckthorn has been valued in Chinese and Tibetan medicine for 2000 years and is used particularly for restoring vitality. If you feel washed out, weak or tired sea buckthorn is the right thing to pep you up.
Sea buckthorn is born of the sun and likes brightness. The colour of its berries, crowded together on the branches like numerous setting suns, is a supreme reflection of this preference. But sea buckthorn does not wither and dry out in the intensive rays of the sun. Maybe this is what has made sea buckthorn the plant for helping dry skin.
