Dr.Hauschka Sage Bath has a warming and regulating effect on the body. During the fall when we are transitioning from the warmer summer temperatures to the cooler fall temperatures, Sage Bath can help us regulate our inner warmth processes, keeping us away from feeling the chill in the autumn air. Sage is also excellent for clearing the mind, I like to use it in the bath after a day were I may have found myself in negative conversation or company.
When to use Sage Bath
• Because Sage is effective at regulating perspiration, we recommend Sage baths after sport or if suffering from excessive sweating.
• A Sage foot bath will help to revitalize tired, itchy, burning feet and at the same time help to reduce the appearance of hard, callused skin. Soak your feet for 10-20 minutes twice a week.
• The inflammation inhibiting properties also mean that adding a few drops of Sage Bath to face washing water can help calm acne or spotty skin conditions.
• Sage Bath is also helpful if you have spots on your back or chest. Soak a muslin in the bath water and apply to the affected area. Next cleanse with Cleansing Cream using press and roll movements. Remove the cream with the muslin and more water.
• Chaps - if you suffer from infected in-growing hairs, then use Sage bath in your cleansing water after shaving, to soothe and heal the inflammation.
How to use:
Just a couple of teaspoons added to your bath water give an intense, beautiful scent as well as being easily absorbed and therefore benefiting our nerve and lymphatic systems.
If you suffer from hot flushes or night sweats, or if you perspire too much or too little, try a Sage foot bath. One 7 minute foot bath every day, for 28 days, will help to regulate and normalize your condition.
